Hey everyone. I am teaching a new course at TAIS in Toronto starting March 6th and each Tuesday for the next 4 weeks from 6:30pm to 9:30pm all about hand drawn special effects. Its going to be a fun class. We'll look at how to break natural elements like fire, water, smoke etc into pleasing designs and flowing animations. How to create effective loops and a bunch more. Hopefully by the end, regardless of your preferred animation medium you 'l have the skills or at least the basic understandings to create hand drawn fx you can add into you films or enhance your projects. more info at www.tais.ca  the link is posted here:

Hey everyone. I was thrilled to be asked to tell a tale at AnimaticT.O. last december of being a freelance animator. SO i chose to tell the tale of my first job after college and my foray into freelance animation. IT's me jsut talking off the cuff so it's not polished or rehearsed and i mumble too much. ha ha but i am really happy with how it turned out. Shout out to Grayden Laing who did a great job filming it. I hope you enjoy it as much as i did telling it! cheers! -Bryce
